Business as usual as our big move starts!

Cardiff Institute for the Blind has started its historic move to a new headquarters in Cardiff City Centre.
We have vacated Shand House, our home for nearly 60 years, and will be moving into new, modern premises at Jones Court, Womanby Street in the spring of 2013.
It is business as usual for all at CIB and our members and volunteers as we have arranged temporary homes while our new building is made ready for us all.
Our Resource Centre is now based at Ivor House (Rapport Building), Bridge Street, Cardiff.
Our admin staff our sharing the offices of RNIB Cymru at Trident Court, off Ocean Way. In the spring both CIB and RNIB Cymru will co-locate at our new HQ.
Carys Henry, Head of User Engagement at Cardiff Institute for the Blind said: “Our move is long overdue and we cannot wait to continue the spirit of Shand House and all that Cardiff Institute for the Blind represents, in our new home.”
We will continue to keep everyone informed about our move into a brand new home for us all.
Ceri Jackson appointed Director of RNIB Cymru

We are pleased to announce that Ceri Jackson has been appointed the new Director of RNIB Cymru.
Ceri has been acting as interim Director for the last five months, and was appointed following a full recruitment process. She has worked for RNIB for nearly 20 years, most recently managing RNIB Cymru's external affairs, membership, sight loss prevention and Eye Clinic support services.
Ceri said: "I am absolutely delighted to have the opportunity to lead an organisation that I care so passionately about. RNIB Cymru has achieved so much over the past few years and I'm delighted to be working with such a talented and committed team, and such supportive members and volunteers.
One key priority will, of course, be our move with Cardiff Institute for the Blind into brand new premises in the centre of Cardiff in the spring, which will include a state-of-the-art resource centre for blind and partially sighted people in the heart of the city centre."
