TopTalk Cymru is published by Cardiff,Vales and Valleys (CVV).
Operating across South Wales, CVV provides direct services and support for people with sight loss, in their own locality.You do not have to be registered blind or partially sighted to access our support services, please do not hesitate to call us. We are a registered charity and most of our services are free or require only a small subscription. We are part of the RNIB Cymru Group. Our operating areas are Cardiff, the Vale of Glamorgan, Rhondda Cynon Taff, Merthyr Tydfil, Swansea, Neath and Port Talbot.
Our Services Include: clubs and social groups, product and gadget information and demonstration, home visits and befriending, hospital support, volunteer transport, information and advice, employment support, benefit entitlement advice, computer training, electronic equipment help and advice.
Run by visually impaired and sighted staff as well as volunteers, CVV is here when you need us most. Cardiff Vales and Valleys (CVV) is the new trading name of Cardiff Institute for the Blind, our registered charity number is 214131 and we are registered under the Companies Act as a company limited by guarantee, number 149982.
CVV clubs and groups
CVV operates a wide range of clubs and social groups throughout South Wales.
Our busy club and social calendar covers a range of interests, helping to overcome the loneliness people with sight loss can experience. We always welcome new members - please contact us to come and enjoy one or more of our many clubs and groups. Our clubs include:

Kieran Harris has recently been seconded to CVV from RNIB Cymru, where he will be managing the South Wales Localities.
Our heritiage dates back to 1865 when The Cardiff Institute for the Blind was founded by Frances Batty Shand, the daughter of a Jamaican plantation owner, who had moved to Cardiff with her brother on the death of her father.
