We have had new telephone lines installed at our new base at Glenview House, Courthouse Street, Pontypridd.
Our County Steering Group for Rhondda Cynon Taf would like to hear the concerns of people with sight loss across a range of issues affecting their day to day life.

Every July thousands of visitors travel to Birmingham’s sight village to find out at first hand the latest technology, products and support services available to people with sight loss. Why not join our specially organised trip for people living in RCT and Merthyr Tydfil, which will visit the event at New Bingley Hall on July 17th.
An Able Reading Group is being launched by CVV in conjunction with Rhondda Cynon Taff Libraries and the Rhondda Cynon Taff Social Inclusion Officer. The group invites all visually impaired members to join in and enjoy the shared activity of reading a good book on a regular basis.

For many people, particularly those that live alone, their own homes are not safe places. For many older people that have developed sight loss simply moving around in their own homes is one the hardest daily activities they face, stairs become treacherous, making a cup of tea can lead to severe burns and answering the door becomes a risk.

From September, we will be working in partnership with Coleg Morgannwg to provide IT courses for our members at its new
Campus in Nantgarw.
If you are aged between 16 - 25 with sight loss and want to make friends with other young people why not join our young people’s group?
Our partners in the Mountain Ash Eye to Eye Support Group have moved into larger premises due to growing membership numbers.
